So two months have gone past (more actually, nearly 3!) and so much has happened.
I left London amidst a flood of tears and excitement in mid-August and after spending a week in Hong Kong, visiting some friends and catching up with my mum and sister who met me there, I arrived home on the sunny shores of Australia.
It does feel good to be home and reminded of all the things I love about Brisbane, but there are still days where I miss London and my friends and life there, that I ache.
But, if the British taught me anything it was the importance of a stiff upper lip so I've been trying not to dwell.
I have certainly had heaps to keep me busy... I returned to my government communications job but in a different capacity which has been more challenging and exactly what I needed to keep motivated and interested.
I have also had plenty of fun reuniting with my lovely friends whom I missed greatly (and family of course, that goes without saying) and ... wait for it ... I BOUGHT A HOUSE!
A town house to be exact. Contract was finalised this week so I will be all moved in (an UNPACKED finally!!!) by the end of October.
The next phase of my life has began. After my whirlwind adventure in Europe and the UK I am now really looking forward to setting up my new home, settling down and seeing what's in store for me next!
